Dental Implant Surgery

Dr. Ryan Osinski is a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is also a proud graduate of the Misch International Implant Institute. With his advanced training, he can provide implant surgery with the most advanced techniques. Dental implants are small, titanium posts that are surgically placed in your jaw to support restorations. Dr. Osinski will strategically place implants to cause the least impact and make the most of your current bone tissue.

Bone Grafting and Sinus Lifts

To receive dental implants, you must have sufficient bone tissue and room in your jaw to support the implant posts. If you have suffered from bone loss, Dr. Osinski can perform a bone graft to restore you candidacy for implants. Similarly, if your sinuses are too low, he can perform a sinus lift to provide ample room for dental implants. He also uses advanced platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy to speed healing and recovery after treatment.

Tooth Extractions

Whenever possible, Dr. Osinski will always try to save damaged teeth through a variety of restorative procedures. However, if you have a severely decayed or broken tooth, extraction may be the only appropriate treatment. Dr. Osinski is able to gently and safely remove damaged or impacted teeth, as well as wisdom teeth. He is also able to provide effective anesthetic and sedation to ensure your comfort during the procedure.

Ridge Preservation

You can begin to experience jawbone atrophy immediately following the loss of a tooth. This degeneration occurs because tooth roots no longer send signals to the surrounding bone to maintain strength and bone density. Dr. Osinski uses advanced techniques and materials to place a graft following tooth extraction. This graft can preserve bone levels, enabling more successful treatment for tooth loss later, such as with dental implants.

Wisdom Tooth Removal

Most patients do not have enough room in jaw to accommodate wisdom teeth. As this third set of molars comes in, they can cause severe crowding. Wisdom teeth may also lead to significant discomfort and infection if they are unable to fully break through surrounding gum or bone tissue. Dr. Osinski gently performs all types of wisdom tooth extraction, including the removal of impacted teeth, providing sedation for your comfort during the procedure.

Pre-Prosthetic Surgery

Your alveolar ridge is the line of bone that rests under your gum tissue. Following tooth loss, the bone can be left uneven or have sharp, jutting edges beneath the gums. To ensure that dentures rest comfortably on this ridge, some patients may require surgery prior to receiving their prosthesis. Dr. Osinski is able to smooth and reshape the alveolar ridge, as well as remove excess bone and gum tissue, to provide a comfortable fit for your restoration.

Gum Grafting

When gums recede, sensitive tooth roots are exposed, placing them at a higher risk for decay and damage. Dr. Osinski is able to perform gum grafts to restore your gum levels. He can use graft tissue, generally taken from the roof of your mouth, to cover exposed roots. He is also able to use state-of-the-art techniques that use donor tissue with growth factors added from your own blood. This advanced approach can be less invasive and involve a shorter recovery time.

Osseous Periodontal Surgery

Gum disease affects more than your soft tissues. The condition can also cause decay and damage to develop around your tooth roots. Dr. Osinski utilizes advanced techniques to rebuild lost bone, rather than remove damaged tissues. He uses guided tissue regeneration to encourage your body's natural healing process and restore oral health. With this method, he may use use a membrane, bioactive gel, or platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to promote tissue growth. In many cases, he will combine techniques for optimal bone growth and improved oral health.

Crown Lengthening

Crown lengthening is often performed to restore a tooth that has been damaged below the gum line. Dr. Osinski uses advanced laser dentistry for minimal discomfort as he removes bone and gum tissue that prevent proper placement of a crown or effective restorative treatment. Crown lengthening can also be performed as a cosmetic procedure to remove excess gum and bone tissue that cover teeth, creating what is known as a gummy smile.
